Vision
"Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real... Reach Your Target Audience" Mission Our mission is to provide capacity building, awareness, and training through the integration of social media and 3D virtual worlds platforms as well as foster collaborative networking. Goal The goal is to promote, educate, and network within real life and virtual-based networks of laboratory professionals; nonprofits, businesses; and special interest communities to enhance access and delivery of services and resources through the integration of social media and 3D immersive virtual worlds. Targeted Audience Public Health service providers, Medical Laboratory professionals, businesses, community organizations, and health agencies as well as health consumers impacted and/or interested in STI/HIV/AIDS and other health disparities. 
capacity buildingThe use of Visual Storytelling has been a main strategy throughout all integration, capacity building, information-sharing, and training activities within our real life and 3D virtual worlds communities. The “3D Immersive Virtual Worlds Series" is a visual storytelling component of the “Virtual Laboratory Training, Career Recruitment and Retention (VLTC) Project”. It was the first visual story released about the VLTC Project as known as the Virtual Laboratory Training and Career Center (VLTCC). The Center is one of twelve (12) special interest 3D immersive virtual worlds built within Kitely, an Opensimulator-generated grid of the Metaverse by Sally S. Cherry, MLS(ASCP) since 2011. REAL TO VIRTUAL INTEGRATIONOur Kitely-hosted virtual world project, “CheriNet Creative HQ” serves as a vehicle for the integration of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), artificial intelligence art (AI art), and PoS blockchains into 3D immersive virtual worlds. It was created to promote NFT awareness; to provide NFT-related capacity building; and to showcase digital media projects including artificial intelligence generated art (AI/GAN art). The project creator's vision, "Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real" is reflected in the parcel exhibitions, events, and linked resources within CheriNet Creative HQ. The 3D immersive virtual world was redeveloped and is maintained by the project creator, Sally S. Cherry, MLS(ASCP) represented in-world by the 3D avatar, Sally Cherry.
training & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCEThe "Gono Cluster Laboratory" within the Virtual Laboratory Training and Career Center (VLTCC) serves as a learning space for real life and virtual-based STI laboratory methods training activities.
The "Gono Cluster Laboratory”, a "field" laboratory built to present information pertaining to various laboratory methods used in the identification of bacteria especially Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The virtual “field” laboratory offers a unique immersive learning experience for visitors and training participants as they navigate through the Gono Cluster, Petri Patch, Gono Discussion Pods, and the underwater Gono Lab Classroom. It is located within the nine-region world, Virtual Laboratory Training and Career Center (VLTCC) hosted in the Opensimulator-generated grid, Kitely. |
