"REAL TO VIRTUAL; VIRTUAL TO REAL... REACH YOUR TARGET"
Mission
Our mission is to provide capacity building, awareness, and training through the integration of social media and 3D virtual worlds platforms as well as foster collaborative networking. Business Concept "Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real... Reach Your Target" Goal The goal is to promote, educate, and network within real life and virtual-based nonprofit, faith-based; laboratory; and public health communities to enhance access and delivery of services and resources through the integration of social media and 3D virtual worlds platforms Targeted Audience Health service providers, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, health agencies, laboratory professionals, businesses, and health consumers impacted and/or interested in STI/HIV/AIDS and other health disparities. capacity building In April 2009, the NAPWA's "Mobilized to Succeed Skills Building Institute for HIV Testing and Awareness Day Events and Campaigns" provided an opportunity to learn more about new media and relevant social media tools. The Skills Building Institute fueled my vision for the integration of social media and 3D virtual worlds into capacity building; HIV/AIDS awareness; networking; STI lab training; and laboratory career recruitment. It inspired the creation of Community HIV/AIDS Resource Exchange (CHARE) Project and Community Health Technology Awareness Resource Exchange (CHeTARE) Project.
