“Reach your Target: Nonprofit Capacity Building through Social Media”
The workshop, “Reach your Target Audience: Nonprofit Capacity Building through Social Media” is designed to increase the knowledge and usability of social media integration for effective capacity building. It is an intensive four (4) hour of interactive discussions, demonstrations, and social media strategy mapping centered on increasing your organization’s impact. The workshop offers introductory information, case studies, clear “how-to” instruction, and proven planning tips pertaining to the effective use of social media platforms for capacity building within your nonprofit organization.
The overall objective of the workshop is to increase basic understanding and usability of relevant social media platforms which will help nonprofit organizations to reach their target audience, get into the “conversation”, and increase their impact.

This workshop is designed for nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, service providers, librarians, community groups, government agencies and any interested individuals who are looking to increase their impact by reaching their target audience and creating change.
Registration Info:
Workshop space is limited to 25 participants. Pre-registration is required; there will be no on-site registration unless previous arrangements have been made. Feel free to bring your laptop (or tablet). Workshop fee includes: 4 hours of intensive, interactive discussions, demonstrations; social media strategy planning material; and related resources. - Provide a “compass” to help your organization reach its target audience for Impact!
- Assess your organization recognition, outreach, and mission-oriented awareness
- Use social media to reach your target audience.
- Foster collaborative partnerships through social networking, content sharing, etc
- Get in the digital conversation through blogging, microblogging, hangouts, etc
- Effectively tell your organization’s story with photos and videos
- Claim and mark your organization "spot" with location-based applications
- Using virtual worlds for meetings, collaboration, outreach, fundraising, and network building,
- Obtaining virtual office space in a collaborative community of practice for nonprofits
- Establishing a virtual presence for public and/or in-house activities
- Mapping an outline for your organization’s mission-centered social media plan.
- Taking your organization and its message “on the road” with QR codes
